Authentication to AdminX via Security Key fails

Problem

When the user chooses to authenticate to BlockID AdminX via Security Key, user receives “The security key does not look familiar. Please try a different one” popup message     



 

Solution

This error might occur when the user tries to authenticate an unregistered FIDO2 device.


Steps

  1. Authenticate to AdminX using any one of other Authentication methods (except FIDO) 
  2. Register a security key via instructions mentioned at https://docs.1kosmos.com/productdocs/docs/fido-authenticators#frequently-asked-questions  
  3. Logout from BlockID AdminX and authenticate again using Security Key option
